Foxes Fives League


The Foxes Fives League is an exciting 5-a-side after-school football league in Kensington on Friday evenings from 5pm during school term for all children aged 6-12. Players can join a team and challenge themselves against other teams in a round robin league. It is open to all (including football players both inside and outside Foxes FC), just come down and join a team.

When?


Spring term (11 week season, no matches will be played during half-term on Friday 15th February & Friday 22nd February 2019)

– Start of term: 11th January 2019

– The final day: 22nd March 2019


Summer term (11 week season, no matches will be played during half-term on Friday 24th May & Friday 31st May 2019)

– Start of term: 26th April 2019

– The final day: 5th July 2019


Why?


Smaller teams allow for more interaction with the ball, enabling greater skills development and intensity levels. Aerobic exercise enables muscle development, improving general health, fitness and stamina.

Foxes Fives is the perfect complement to our football development training sessions at the Little Foxes Club and Foxes FC as they can apply and consolidate skills learnt from their training in dynamic Foxes Fives match play.

Teams


Number of Players: each team can have a maximum of 8 registered players. Matches will be played in a 5-a-side format with a maximum of three substitutes.

– Team Manager: each team will be assigned a coach every week to manage their match.

– Age Groups: U7 – U12 (Ages 6-12).

– Kits: each team can choose to have a full Foxes FC kit of their own colour.


Playing Formats


– Duration: all matches will last 40 minutes.

– Round Robin League: every team will play each of the other teams in the league at least once. At the end of the term, the team that finishes in 1st place will be crowned champions with a team trophy and members will receive their own individual trophy. Runner-ups will also receive individual trophies too. Everyone who participates will receive medals.

– Referees: all matches will have an assigned referee to take charge of proceedings. All of our coaches are FA licensed, professionally trained and experienced. They officiate the games and ensure all players abide by the rules of the game, teaching them discipline, structure, and preparing them to be great sportsmen.
